NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Dear Members of WECAN Society:
Please be advised that the Board of Directors of Where Edmonton Community Artists Network (W.E.C.A.N. Society has called the Annual General Meeting. This AGM will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 7:00 pm in Art Education Room #1 (Harcourt’s Annex Building), 10211 – 112th Street NW in Edmonton.
Notice of Motion; proposed amendment to the (W.E.C.A.N.) Society bylaws:
- The following proposed addition to the Bylaws of Where Edmonton Community Artists Network (W.E.C.A.N.) Society will be considered and voted on by the membership of the Society:
Article 10.04 Related to the W.E.C.A.N. Society’s Real Estate asset of the Harcourt House and Annex Property, legal description being: Plan B, Block Eleven (11), Lot one hundred and three (103) and the most southerly twenty five (25) feet of Lot one hundred and four (104) – and – Plan B, Block Eleven (11), Lot one hundred and five (105) and the most northerly twenty five (25) feet of Lot one hundred and four (104), collectively referred to as the Harcourt House Property. No portion of the Harcourt House Property owned by the W.E.C.A.N. Society may be sold without the prior approval of a super majority of two-thirds of the total membership of the W.E.C.A.N. Society.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting Forms (Proxy Form, Nomination Ballot, and Call for Motion Form) are available in a single document here. Nominations of new Board members of WECAN Society will be accepted prior to the Annual General Meeting. Completed nomination forms are to be emailed to info@harcourthouse.ab.ca prior to the Annual General Meeting.
The Board of Directors of Where Edmonton Community Artists Network (W.E.C.A.N.) Society encourages you, as a member of W.E.C.A.N. Society, to attend. If you are unable to attend, please email your Proxy Form to info@harcourthouse.ab.ca prior to the AGM.
