Put a Bird on It: Silkscreening Drop-in Event
12:00-6:00 PM
Inspired by the infamous Portlandia skit and our incessant DIY need to put birds on EVERYTHING, SNAP invites you to drop in to our Printshop and literally Put A Bird On It. Suggested donation: $10.
Screen printing is a technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink through a stencil and onto a substrate. We’ll have SNAP Artists draw their own interpretation of what it is to Put a Bird On It! Silkscreen Stencils, inks and proofing paper will be available. We invite you to bring any flat items to be printed on. You could bring existing drawings, posters or prints, fabric, clothing, tote bags, anything flat and in need of a Bird On It for this event! Volunteers will be on hand to assist you with printing.
