Mark the date Thursday, June 21, 2018 in your calendar and join us for the official opening of two evocative exhibitions: Figuratively Speaking: 26th Annual Naked Show + Art Sale with the works from the Harcourt’s 2017 Drop-In Sessions and Nude Poetry with the drawings and poems by Edmonton’s own Dani Zyp, and poems by Ronald Kurt. The exhibitions will be presented in the Art Education Room located in Harcourt House’s Annex Building (10211 – 112th Street NW) until July 3, 2018.
The official opening will take place on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 7 pm to 10 pm in the Art Education Room in Harcourt House’s Annex Building. Admission is free.
This special evening features:
- Official opening of both exhibitions + art sale with a wine & cheese reception, groovy music and … much more!
- Launch of the book Nude Poetry with a poetry reading by Dani Zyp and Ronal Kurt, and accompanied by music performance by Roylin Picou;
- Opportunity to personally meet many artists showcased in the Figuratively Speaking exhibition as well as Edmonton-based poets: Dani Zyp and Ron Kurt, and to discuss their creative works;
The exhibitions, Figuratively Speaking and Nude Poetry are organized and presented in conjunction with 2018 THE WORKS Art & Design Festival and the 30th Anniversary of Harcourt House Artist Run Centre.
The exhibitions Figuratively Speaking: 26th Annual Naked Show and Nude Poetry double as a fundraiser for Harcourt House Artist Run Centre with 30% of each artwork sold to support Harcourt’s art exhibitions and art education programs.
