Join us for a special Halloween edition of “A Theatrical Weekend with the Model,” designed to bring a playful and theatrical element to the figure-drawing experience.
These sessions feature nude modelling complemented by gestures, movement, costume, and carefully curated theatrical elements. This approach not only challenges artists to capture the human form with accuracy but also offers an opportunity to explore colour, texture, mood, and storytelling. The models’ expressiveness and personality come to the forefront, enriching the visual narrative and providing deeper artistic engagement.
The weekend is structured into two sessions each day. The Saturday morning session will begin with gesture poses and movement before transitioning into costume, followed by one longer pose. The Saturday afternoon session will feature one model in a long-pose session. On Sunday morning, two models will pose together in a variety of poses, mostly of the longer variety, followed by a two-model long-pose session in the afternoon.
All experience levels are welcome. Easels, tables and chairs are available for use. Participants must provide their own drawing materials. These sessions are non-instructional.
