There are many benefits to volunteering at Harcourt House Artist Run Centre!
Those who offer their abilities can learn transferable skills, enhance their CV, and network with artists, curators, and arts administrators. It’s a chance to become part of Edmonton’s burgeoning artistic community, and to witness how local art can make an impact provincially, nationally, and internationally.
We happily offer our volunteers autonomy; opportunities include, but are not limited to:
-Gallery sitting and interpretive guide
-Office – paperwork and shredding
-Exhibition install and takedown
-Opening receptions and prep/cleanup
EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS
-Casino fundraisers (yearly)
-Members and naked show (usually concurrent with the works festival)
-Open house / open studio events
-Recruitment and registration
-Advertising (handbills, postering etc)
-Community info sessions/booths
-Visits to schools/drop in centres (YMCA, ihuman, NB etc)
