WHAT’S LEFT UNSAID
29th Annual Members’ Show with The Works Art and Design Festival
Harcourt House Gallery . June 15 – July 14, 2017
Members’ Show BBQ: Saturday, June 24, from 12 pm – 5 pm
Harcourt House Artist Run Centre, 3rd floor, 10215 – 112 St, Edmonton
Toss together a melange of ideas, memories, words, body language, experiences and emotions and, from one individual to the next, dialogue will transform, expand and collapse. Some things will ultimately remain unexpressed. Could these missed exchanges have been an opportunity for growth, a catalyst for self-discovery, or a future transitional moment?
Complimenting The Works Festival theme, “Dialogue”, Harcourt House’s “What’s Left Unsaid” invites all current members in good standing to delve a little deeper into their process of artistic communication; to explore subject matter that may not initially feel comfortable or approachable, to try and articulate something that hasn’t yet been revealed but still lingers there, on the periphery.
In addition to bringing the visual arts community together, this annual show doubles as a fundraiser for the artist run centre, with 20% of each sold piece going to support the non-profit’s day-to-day operations. Join us Saturday June 24th from 12 – 5pm for our Members’ show BBQ.
The Harcourt House Artist Run Centre is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting new and established visual artists and to engaging the community through its exhibitions, educational programs, low-cost studio rentals, and atmosphere of open discourse. Discover Harcourt House and don’t miss “What’s Left Unsaid”.
