Harcourt House Artist Run Centre is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist us with three important upcoming events:
- 35th Annual Members’ Exhibition + Art Sale
- 31st Annual Naked Show + Art Sale
- Harcourt’s Annual 2023 Open House
Volunteers are required for the following opportunities that offer transferable skills, networking with visual artists, curators, academics, and other professionals:
Exhibition Assistants: 35th Annual Members’ Exhibition + Art Sale
Dates: June 14–17, 2023 – Install
July 10-11, 2023 – Strike
Exhibition Assistants: 31st Annual Naked Show + Art Sale
Dates: July 3-5, 2023 – Install
July 17-18, 2023 – Strike
Tasks: assists with the preparation of exhibition spaces, painting the walls/plinths, artwork unpacking/repacking, exhibition installation and dismantling, exhibition/artwork signage. A keen eye for details and the ability to lift are required.
Gallery Attendants (Harcourt House’s Annex Building)
Dates: July 7 – July 15, 2023
Tasks: greets the visitors/patrons, records the attendance, provides information on both exhibitions/art sale fundraisers if required, assists with selling artwork designated for art sale fundraiser, assists with packing artwork after each sale. We are looking for volunteers who are energetic, enthusiastic and friendly, and who are comfortable initiating contact with the public. If you enjoy engaging with public, this is where we need you!
Harcourt’s Open House Volunteers – Saturday, June 24, 2023
Tasks: assists with preparation of the areas designated for public visit/viewing in both Harcourt House’s buildings during the 2023 Annual Open House; greets the visitors/patrons, provides information on activities; directs to artists’ studios and areas with programming activities, helps to ensure a healthy and safe environment for Harcourt’s artists, staff, and our guests during the Open House. We are looking for volunteers who are energetic, enthusiastic and friendly, and who are comfortable initiating contact with the public.
