In this workshop attendees will craft bold and expressive mixed media florals using cut paper to create interesting graphic elements while depicting the organic subject.
Using a fast and fluid approach with tissue paper, Japanese paper, acrylic-based media, crayons, pastels, glues/gel mediums, we will create two 11×14 inch works: one study piece on Bristol paper (which can be framed) and one on wood panel/canvas (to be supplied by the attendee).
Bonus assignment! Bring a piece from home that you would like to “paper over” and refresh with collage!
