As of January 2018 we are implementing a Special Events Committee, with the intention of amplifying the general appeal of Community Events at Harcourt House.
The Special Events Committee consists of volunteers offering a 1 year commitment of up to approximately 6 hrs per month. The committee would meet every month to brainstorm and plan between 4-6 events yearly which will include things like our volunteer/staff appreciation party, summer barbecue, Miss Moneypenny fundraiser, and Art-O-Rama fundraiser.
The events that repeat each year take on new themes and the special events committee would coordinate with staff to improve and expand this list. Ideally the committee members will each bring something unique to the table such as marketing skills, creative perspectives, musical connections, writing, sponsorship and donor development, and of course the desire to create engaging community events.
