FRONT ROOM GALLERY  |  JUSTIN SHAW  |  Western Horsemen : Economic Action Plan

Justin Wayne Shaw was born in Nanaimo, B.C., and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and completed his Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta. His art has a strong presence of his home province of Alberta and residing city of Edmonton. Through the use of metaphor and symbolism his work revolves around the ideas of Albertan identity. These include what is true and what is not true. In his Front Room exhibit Shaw will show an ongoing series of large scale digital collage titled ‘Western Horsemen’. He investigates the changing landscape, the history, and the cultural identity of rural and urban Alberta.

“My art continues to challenge and captivate me, further educating me about my community while constantly shaping my perceptions of Alberta and North America.” – J. W. Shaw.
