International Figure Model Emily Metalskin, hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, will present three themed days during our May “Long Weekend with the Model” sessions. On Saturday, Emily will be posing solo, while on Sunday and Monday, she will collaborate with other models in couple poses. These sessions will feature nude modeling with minimal costumes and settings, providing artists an opportunity to explore colour and enhance their figure drawing skills using live models in a range of poses and durations. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to participate. Easels, tables, and chairs will be provided, but participants are required to bring their own drawing materials. Each day will include two sessions, featuring brief poses in the morning and one extended pose in the afternoon. These sessions are non-instructional.

Model Biography
Emily Metalskin always dreamt of being a performer, inhabiting various worlds and personalities. Unfortunately, she was painfully shy, so she decided to study fine art film photography—this way, she could create these worlds from behind the camera. During this time the pull of being a performer reemerged, and she decided to become part of the art. Emily began taking self-portraits and became an art model at the age of 23. Here, Metalskin discovered her greatest passion: combining her body and thoughts through self-portrait photography and serving as a muse for artists from around the world.
Harcourt House Artist Run Centre employs experienced and professional models for all sessions and is committed to representing diversity. Studio monitors are on hand to stage the models, keep time, and ensure sessions begin promptly.
