This workshop invites participants to rediscover the joy of drawing through playful movement and expressive lines. Using a simple, unexpected tool—a small rock or pebble—you’ll explore a drawing method that embraces spontaneity and imperfection. The pen follows the motion across the page, capturing a rhythm of lines that are free, intuitive, and full of character, yet focused on the still life.
As the ink begins to reveal abstract marks and shapes, you’ll be guided to notice emerging compositions and weave in contours inspired by natural still-life subjects provided in the class. Through this process, you’ll learn to see form, gesture, and movement in new ways—balancing control with chance and discovery.
By the end of the session, each participant will leave with an expressive, nature-inspired drawing and a new sense of confidence in their creative instincts. This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to reconnect with the physical joy of mark-making and explore a fresh, meditative approach to drawing to learn composition, shape and expression to create still life.
