A retrospective exhibition of the work of George Botchett

In July of 2013 Harcourt House Artist Run Centre lost a long-time friend and supporter.  Following a distinguished career as an educator, inspiring young theatre artists, George Botchett followed his second passion and was an active member of the visual arts community in Edmonton. Exhibiting regularly with his colleagues at Harcourt House and as an honorary member of the Alberta Society of Artists his work explored a wide range of subjects and media.  As a  volunteer he worked tirelessly for a number of arts organizations, sharing his enthusiasm whenever called upon.

It is appropriate that after years as a studio artist at Harcourt House Artist Run Centre his final exhibition should be part of its gallery program.  Friends and family have generously loaned works from their collections to augment the collection of works from his studio.  It is mere glimpse of his career in the visual arts and is a celebration of his many contribution to our lives.
