Dan Hudson is a multimedia artist and a photo journalist based in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Hudson received his BFA from York University (Toronto), studied anthropology at the UCSD (San Diego) and did a studio residency at the Banff Centre (Alberta). Hudson has won several scholarships and awards for his art practice and has been involved in numerous national and international exhibitions. As a photo journalist, Dan Hudson specializes in adventure and travel photography. He has more than 60 cover shots to his credit and thousands of images published internationally.

At Harcourt House, Hudson will present a sound and video installation comprised of a year-long time-lapse of the seasonal changes and leisure activities of visitors to a public park. With this he juxtaposes with audio montages of news, weather and sports from the same year.

Hudson explores the relationship between time and memory. He indicates that it is only through memory that we are able to perceive the existence of time.
