Annual Members’ Show Submission Guidelines CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS 2012 membership show.
Exhibition Title: SYMBIOSIS 24th Annual Members’ Exhibition
Open to: New and current members of Harcourt House Artist Run Centre, working in any media.
Submission drop off: Friday, June 1 to Friday, June 8
Exhibition Dates: June 21 – July 21, 2011
Opening reception: June 21, 2012 from 6:30 – 10pm
This annual exhibition coincides with The Works Art and Design Festival and in keeping with their 2012 theme Energy II: COLLABORATION, Harcourt House is challenging artists to create/select their submissions based on the exhibition title SYMBIOSIS.
SYMBIOSIS provides an opportunity for our membership of artists to exhibit and sell their work in this salon style exhibition and doubles as a fundraiser for the centre. If you choose to sell your work, Harcourt House will receive a 20% commission off the sale price.
This call for submissions is for new and current members of Harcourt House Artist Run Centre. If you are a practicing artist who would like to participate in this salon exhibition and are not currently a member, please stop by the gallery or call during regular business hours: M-F 10 am -5pm & Sat 12-4pm. Students and recent graduates receive a discounts on memberships.
This call is open to artists working in any media.
General Guidelines for Submissions
Each artist may submit up to three works for the exhibition and is guaranteed to have one work displayed, provided they adhere to the following criteria.
a. Artworks submitted must have been produced within the past year.
b. Artworks must be framed and ready to hang/install and equipped with the necessary hanging hardware, if applicable.*WORKS THAT ARE NOT READY TO HANG WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
c. Artworks must have dimensions no larger than 3’ x 3’. **Exceptions may me made at the curator’s discretion.
d. For multimedia submissions please contact Brittney Roy at 780.426.4180 to discuss specific installation requirements and guidelines.
e. Works must remain in the gallery as a part of the exhibition for the duration of the show.

Drop off submissions to Harcourt House Gallery from Friday, June 1 to Friday, June 8. Late submissions will not be accepted. Early submissions may not be accepted.
